It's Hump Day folks!

What do you do to ensure you're taking care of yourself? I'm not just talking about nutrition & exercise - but I'm talking about mentally. How do you 'self care'?

A lot of us can sometimes feel guilty for taking time for ourselves but you shouldn't. I can honestly say that if I don't take care of myself mentally, I am absolutely useless physically. I am a huge advocate for mental health & I have never been ashamed to talk about it - no one should be. So, spend time with those you care for & surround yourself with good people. Nourish your soul with things you enjoy doing. Fill your own cup because without doing that first, you won't be able to fill anyone else's. Here's a few suggestions & feel free to add some of your own :)

  • Enjoy an afternoon getting your nails or hair done.

  • Take a walk on a beautiful day - make sure you observe the beauty of nature that surrounds you & keep your head out of your phone

  • Take 24 hours off of social media

  • Do a mini de-clutter. Maybe browse your closet for items you can donate to a local shelter.

  • Put on your favorite playlist & have a solo dance party

  • Stretch your body out with some yoga

  • Take a quick nap

  • Take a bubble bath

These are just a handful of suggestions but there's SO many you can add! In the midst of the our busy lives, sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves - when WE are the most important person we need to take care of. Comment below some ways you like to enjoy your own company!
